Time off that arrives in payroll as the right kind of hour
Each leave type carries its own work entry type, leave and work entries stay in step, and a cancelled leave takes its entries with it.

At a Glance
The facts of Viin - Holiday Work Entry, version 0.1.2, in one place. Published by Viindoo.
How It Works
Three screens.
The leave type carries its work entry type
Created with it, coded from its name, and used whenever leave of this type becomes payroll.
And the entries show it
Attendance and absence side by side, each with the type payroll will read.
Across the types you use
Paid, unpaid, sick, parental - each mapped, without a configuration table to maintain.
What You Get
A work entry type per leave type, created with it
Entries generated with the type the absence deserves
Cancelling or deleting leave removes the entries it produced
Overlapping leave and entries reconciled rather than duplicated
Contract work-entry generation aware of the leaves in the period
Nothing to map by hand after installing

What This App Does Not Do
Read this before you buy. Everything below is something the app deliberately leaves to another app or to you.
The rate lives on the work entry type and is used by a salary rule.
It makes sure the entries payroll reads are the right ones.
New ones get it automatically; older ones are mapped on install.
Where a leave overlaps an entry, the leave wins - which is usually right, and always visible.

Who Should Use Viin - Holiday Work Entry?

Is paid for the absence in the way that type is meant to be paid.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Viin - Holiday Work Entry do?
Each leave type carries its own work entry type, leave and work entries stay in step, and a cancelled leave takes its entries with it.

It does not decide what an absence is worth. The rate lives on the work entry type and is used by a salary rule. It does not generate payslips.
