Inbox Notifications and Emails
Get the best of both worlds: receive notifications in your Odoo/Viindoo Inbox and via Email simultaneously. Never miss important updates with dual notification delivery.
When users choose "Handle by Emails", notifications are now sent to both the system inbox and their email address, ensuring maximum visibility and accessibility.
The Problem
By default, the system provides two options for Notification Management: Handle by Emails: notifications are sent to the users' email. This is the default option for new users. Handle in Odoo/Viindoo: notifications appear in the users' Odoo/Viindoo Inbox but no email is sent to the users.
Email Only Option
When "Handle by Emails" is selected, notifications only go to email inbox, missing users who prefer checking Odoo/Viindoo directly.
Inbox Only Option
When "Handle in Odoo/Viindoo" is selected, users miss email notifications and may not check the system inbox regularly.
Missed Notifications
Users have to choose between email or inbox, leading to missed important updates depending on their workflow.
The Solution
Dual Notification Delivery (Inbox and Email)
This module extends the default "Handle by Emails" option to send notifications to both:
- Odoo/Viindoo Inbox - For users who work directly in the system
- Email - For users who prefer email notifications

- Search with keyword to_mail_notif_and_email.

Go to My Profile, on the Notification, and select Handle by Emails.
When users receive a notification from the system, they can go the Discuss > Inbox to see the notification.
At the same time, their personal email will receive the same notification.
