Demo video: Time-Off Project Timesheet
What it does
Businesses have a need to manage employees who go on business trips or go out to perform some assigned tasks. At this time, managing the absence of employees at the office is required for businesses. So this module:
- Allows assigning a specific Task/Project when the employee takes leave for business trips by linking the Time Off module (hr_holidays) to the Project module (project);
- Allows employees or managers to be able to set up projects and related employees with leave requests;
- The cost of the time off of each employee can be calculated according to each specific employee and shown on the Project module based on that employee's time and hourly labor cost.
Key Features
- Add a "Project Required" field on the Time Off Types. When asking for leave of absence from this Time Off Type, it is required to select a project to record Time off;
- Add two "Related Project" and "Related Task" fields, allowing to select Projects and Tasks when applying for leave of absence;
- Once the leave application is approved, a time sheet will be automatically generated on the selected task.

Installation
- Navigate to Apps.
- Search with keyword viin_project_timesheet_leave.
- Press Install.

Employees register time off and be approved
Employees register time off
When employees go for business trips, they register a time off with the above time off type.
In the form view, there are two more fields Related Project and Related Task, employee need to declare the related project and task. After that, press Save.
Manager approve
The manager approves the Time off.
Keep tracking employee's timesheets
Tracking on Project
To track the employee's timesheets on each project, navigate to Project Apps, search for the needed project, press the icon and choose Edit.
You can see the timesheet reports when pressing this smart button.
Note: In case the manager wants to see the project costs, navigate to Project Apps, search the needed project, press to the icon, choose Project Updates. The project costs will be calculated automatically, inlude the business trips costs:
Tracking on Tasks
Similar to the project, on the Task form view, the system will show the Description is Time Off and the information corresponding to the content in the time off.
