The serial number knows who supplied it and who has it
A customer, a supplier and a service state on every lot or serial - so support can find the unit without a spreadsheet.

At a Glance
The facts of Partner Info on Lot/Serial, version 0.1.1, in one place. Published by Viindoo.
How It Works
Two screens.
The lot, with its partners
Where it came from, who has it, and the state it is serviced in.
And across the lots
The same list as before, now searchable by customer and by supplier.
What You Get
A Customer and a Supplier on every lot or serial number
A Service State computed from the customer's address, editable when reality differs
Both indexed, so lots can be searched and grouped by partner
Visible from the contact side too, so a customer's units can be listed
Works alongside equipment and maintenance records for the same serial
No new menu - the fields sit on the lot form
More Screens
Everything below was taken on a database seeded with real business data, on this series - not a mock-up and not a screenshot from an older version.

What This App Does Not Do
Read this before you buy. Everything below is something the app deliberately leaves to another app or to you.
A unit that changes hands is updated, not duplicated - the history is in the moves.
It can be overridden when the unit is installed somewhere else.
Warranty periods and claims are the warranty apps.
The fields are set going forward, or imported once.
