What it does
This module allows you to manage a full supply chain for repair services.
- Allow to choose where the Product to repair and each Part comes from, instead of
assuming everything already sits at the Repair location
- Create the transfers a Repair order needs. For example:
- When a Repair order is confirmed, the system creates one transfer per distinct origin:
- Product to repair: from its Origin location (a customer site, another warehouse) to
the Repair location
- Parts: from their own Origin location (an internal location, a vendor location) to
the Repair location. Parts that are already at the Repair location generate no
transfer at all.
- A Repair order cannot be started while one of its supply transfers is still open
- Adding a sourced part while the repair is ongoing creates its own transfer
- When the Repair order is completed, the system creates a return transfer carrying the
repaired product and the exact unconsumed part remainder, netted against what was
actually consumed. Validating that transfer is the hand-back to its owner.
- When the Repair order is cancelled, open supply transfers are cancelled and everything
that had already arrived is sent back to where it came from.
