What it does
On Viindoo Cloud, an IoT box can be given a Viindoo name of its own, with a
certificate, so that browsers reach it without a warning about its certificate.
This module lets the database vouch for its boxes: when a box asks for its
name, the database proves to Viindoo Cloud that the box is one of its own and
passes the question on.
Key Features
- A Viindoo name for each box: the question of a box for its name and its
certificate is passed on to Viindoo Cloud, and the answer is passed back to the box.
- Released when no longer needed: archiving or deleting a box, or switching its
Viindoo name off, tells Viindoo Cloud to release the name.
- Silent on your own server: a database that is not hosted on Viindoo Cloud
contacts nobody, and its boxes keep working with their own certificate.
